Here is a view of the inside of the card.

Mixed Media

Hi Everyone! I hope you are having a good day. I want to share a card I made using mixed media. This is always fun for me. At Joan's Touch this week we are to use stencils, lots of colors of ink and textures. My good enabler friend ( I seem to have several of those! ) showed me her Crayola air brush system and let me play with it. Well, of course I had to get one for myself! LOL! I used it doing the background. I used a fern and dot stencils with green and brown markers on yellow card stock.

To make the glittery flowers I used a stencil with white stencil paste. I colored over the flowers, but I was not liking the look, so I ended up using the wonderful velvet glitters from Sparkle N Sprinkle. I made the blue flower by using Tim Holtz's Tattered Flowers die, cut from cardboard. I inked the flower by rubbing on Inka Gold inks.

The bluebird is a chipboard piece I had and I also rubbed Inka Gold colors on it.  I enjoyed using the chipboard and I ought to use it more often!

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful day!

Pink Lady

Hi Everyone! I want to show you another card I made with the Sparkle Silhouette stamp set 621 from Sparkle N Sprinkle. This time I made her all glittery pink! I also got to use my new Spellbinders butterfly background die. I adhered the die to sticky paper, added the new Flamingo embossing powder EP452 to it and heat set it.

The beautiful silhouette stamp was stamped with Versa Mark ink , the Flamingo embossing powder was added to the image and heat set.  Pink, black and white is one of my favorite color combinations too. I added the saying to a little tag and secured it with a bow.

Thank you for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful day!

Surprise Box

Hi Everyone! I hope you are having a good day. It is very hot and humid here, so I am staying inside and keeping cool. I want to share a surprise box I made recently. I have seen quite a few of these and I wanted to try one. It can squash down flat to send in an envelope! Mine does not do that very well because of all the embellishments as you can see below! LOL!

I used my favorite embellishments which are flowers and rhinestones. I stamped the butterflies on patterned paper and fussy cut them. I added wire for their antennas.

Here is my box that I tried to squash down!

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope your day is full of good things!

Make A Wish

Hi Everyone! We are having a thunderstorm rumbling through right now. It seems par for the course this week! I hope you are enjoying your day. I want to share a card I made for some challenges. I am always making birthday cards for it seems I need them more than others now. I love this cute House Mouse stamp. I hope his wish comes true!

As you can see, I used a lot of layers, distressed the edges and inked them. I cut out my image using a Spellbinder's die and the leaves is a Memory Box die.  I used 2 sizes of flower punches to make the flowers. I dyed seam binding to make the ribbon match my card. I had a lot of fun making my card today. Here is a close up view of the cupcake where I added Stickles glitter to look like icing.

Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful day!

Isn't She Lovely

Hi! I hope you are having a good day. I want to share a card I made using a new released Sparkle N Sprinkle stamp set called Sparkle Silhouette 621. Isn't she lovely?

I glittered her up using Cerulean Star embossing powder EP433 and I also used the same embossing powder in the die cut out areas and around the edges of the card. I just love this color!

I also sponged green ink on the raised embossed areas on the patterned paper. The flowers had yellow centers, so I used transparent Waterscape glitter G1108 to sparkle them up a bit.  For full instructions on how to make this card, please click here.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you have a marvelous day!

Beautiful Day

Hi Everyone! It has been a beautiful day here today. I just love this saying stamp from Sparkle N Sprinkle. At Joan's Touch the challenge is to make a twisted easel card. I have never made one before, so I thought I would try it. I was surprised at how easy it was to make. I had fun with it! You can see how to make it here.

The frame is a Spellbinders die and the butterfly is a Cheery Lynn die. I stamped the leaves on brown card stock and cut them out. The small butterflies is a stamp from Hero Arts. The pink border is ribbon with pearls intertwined.

Thank you for stopping by. I hope you have a BEAUTIFUL day!

Give Your Imagination Wings

Hi Everyone! Welcome to my blog. I have had such fun playing with stencil "printing" this week. I have made many backgrounds and I chose Tim Holt's Bubble stencil for the background on my tag. To make the background you use several colors of Distress ink and swipe them on the back of the stencil, spritz the colors with water and lay your card stock over this. You end up with a beautiful background! You can see Tim's demo here.

I used some recycled items on my tag. The butterfly was stamped on a piece of plastic and Mountain Mist velvet glitter from Sparkle N Sprinkle was glued to the back to make the butterfly sparkle!

I made a rose out of a scrap of light patterned paper to add to the bow at the top.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope your day is filled with good things!
