For my card this month I used the Bubblegum stamp set 664. Along with it I used the girl from stamp set Daddy's Princess 413. I thought she went so well with the saying from the Bubblegum set.

To make the background I brayered over the raised part of an embossing folder with Versa Mark ink, laid the paper on top  and pressed with my fingers. I then added Belgian Cream embossing powder to it and heat set it. I used Wineter Berry embossing powder EP411 on the edges of the card and saying and Lemonade glitter G1091 on the yellow gumballs. An acetate circle was placed over the machine's globe.

The cute saying was embossed with Black Detail embossing powder EP171.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you have a wonderful day.
Now on to the very talented Marie! Have fun hopping!

Hello With Smiles

Hi Everyone! Welcome to my blog. I want to show you a card I made where I did a lot of altering. I have always enjoyed making cards with bits and pieces of things left over from other projects. I went through my stacks of leftovers and this time I also altered many of the pieces. First, here is the picture of things I found in my stash.

I altered the embossed background piece by sponging on Distress Peeled Paint ink. I used clear embossing powder on the Spellbinders frame to enhance it and to make it stiffer since it was cut from patterned paper.

I cut the flower from the second tag and pop dotted it over the first flower and added gold Stickles to the center. I used Brown Fizz embossing powder from Sparkle N Sprinkle on the Spellbinder swirl dies.

I also altered the bird die by adding the Brown Fizz embossing powder to them.

I had a lot of fun making this card with bits and pieces and doing some altering. A lot of times I do not think to alter something so this helped me to go outside my box.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful day!

Celebrate the Season

Hi Everyone! I want to show you a card I made using the newly released Magic of  the Season stamp set 653 from Sparkle N Sprinkle. Christmas will be here before we know it and it is time to start making Christmas cards! This cute little set is so magical for the Christmas season! The background was made by running white card stock through an embossing folder, swiping the raised areas with Versa Mark ink and adding Sparkle embossing powder EP107. I used the Spellbinders 2012 Holiday Tree die and placed it on Sticker Paper and then added Fascination glitter G1030 to it.

The snowflake is Spellbinders Build a Snowflake. I used a glue pen and added Sparkling Snow glitter G1003 to it and tucked it behind the tree. I used the new Diamond Mesh strips around the edges of the card.

I stamped and fussy cut the hat and pop dotted it to the bottom of the card. I then added White Liquid Applique to make a snow pile and also added some to the hat. Before I heat set it I added in Sparkling Snow glitter. You can click here for further instructions on how to make this card.

Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope I have given you some inspiration for your Christmas cards. Have a wonderful and blessed day!

Fall is in the Air

Hi Everyone! I hope you are having a good day! I am certainly looking forward to Fall. In some areas of the country the leaves are already starting to turn. We have a little feeling of Fall here today, cloudy and a bit cooler. I just love Fall and its beautiful colors. I only wish it would last longer! I want to show you a Fall card I made using Impression Obsession stamps, Cover-a-card Birds on a Tree CC102 and Leaf Scene G1310.

I just love this leaf scene that I colored with Spectrum Noir markers and pop dotted to the card.

I also used my very favorite embossing powder from Sparkle N Sprinkle called Copper Flame. I used it on the punched frame. I recently learned how to tie on a button this way using a cord. I love the look of it.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you have a fabulous day!

Flowers Say Hello

Hi Everyone! I hope you are having a good day. I want to share a card I made using lots of flowers and distressed layers -- my favorite things in making a card! My inspiration came from this photo over on the Sizzix blog.

The Sizzix Challenge Inspiration

I love the magenta, pink and green combination. I used a Sizzix embossing folder on the background paper and highlighted the raised areas with green ink.

I used the Tim Holtz Alteration flowers dies by Sizzix to make my flowers. I added Champagne glitter, from Sparkle N Sprinkle, to the edges of the petals. The leaves are also from the leaves Sizzix die. I edged them with brown ink to make them stand out more.

I just bought this gorgeous Ornate Frame by Sizzix and was so happy to be able to use it right away! I added Copper Flame embossing powder to it by Sparkle N Sprinkle. I love the look it gives. I also added an acetate window over the saying to add a shiny look.

I had a fun time making this card! I am entering this card into the Sizzix  and Joan's Touch challenges.
Thanks you for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful day!

12 Tags of 2014 -- September

Hi Everyone! I hope you are having a good day. I want to share the tag I made for a few challenges. I was inspired by Tim Holtz's tag he made for September. You can see his tag here.

We were to use our imagination a bit more as you can see that Tim has butterflies as "hair" on his lady. I used 2 leaf dies to make butterflies. Black Diamond Stickles was used on the flower's center. I used Tim's Bubble stencil for the background, used blending solution and then swiped the tag through Aqua alcohol ink. I added some of Tim's Element rub ons and washi tape numbers. The sunflower, by Sparkle N Sprinkle, was colored using Distress Markers.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope your day is fabulous! God bless!

Down On The Farm

Hi Everyone! I hope you are having a good day. I want to show you another card I made with the brand new Farm Sweet Farm stamp set 652 from Sparkle N Sprinkle. When rummaging through my stacks of paper I found the perfect background paper to go with it too! At the top of the patterned paper I accented the sky with Fascination glitter G1030. I also used Waterscape glitter G1108 in areas on the trees.

I paper pieced the barn and silo and used Silver Detail embossing powder EP257 on the silo roof. Yellow Gold Glitter Tinsel GT3005 was used for the hay in the barn loft. Sparkling Sands Sparkle N Soft SS118 was used on the horse for texture. I used Copper Flame embossing powder EP453 on the fence. Copper Flame is one of my favorite embossing powders.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!
