A Mother Is Born

Hi Everyone! Welcome to my blog. Today I want to show you a Mother's Day card I made using the Just For Fun Mother Is Born stamp. I think this stamp is so sweet!

I used some old K & CO patterned paper that I had in my scrap pile and matted it to burgundy card stock and then to the cream card base. The image was stamped on cream card stock and matted to burgundy card stock. The corner embellishment is a Spellbinders die. I added butterflies cut from Tim Holtz's Butterfly Frenzy die. I made a bow from some cream colored seam binding and added a paper flower.

We are having a new challenge over on the Just For Fun blog. I hope you can join us this month and you might even win a gift certificate to the store. We would love to see your wonderful creations!

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a great day!

Thinking of You

Hi and welcome to my blog! I hope you are having a good day. I want to show you a Spring card I made using several Just For Fun stamps. I used the Distressed Music Block Antique Birdcage and the Pair of Birds stamps. I stamped the music block stamp and the birdcage onto patterned paper and fussy cut them. I layered them on top of the Sizzix Fancy labels die cut from pink patterned paper. I stamped the birds using brown ink, fussy cut them and pop dotted them to the card. The saying came from the Sentiments 1 sheet. Everything was adhered to the white card base that was embossed by using a paisley embossing folder.

I hope you can join in our Easter/Spring challenge. You might even win a gift certificate to the store! Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope your day will be full of good things!

Bits and Bobs #8

Hi Everyone! I am back with another bits and bobs card. I have been wanting to try my hand at making shabby chic cards lately, so I made one using some old things in my stash and this is what I came up with.

First I found this bunny I had stamped on lavender card stock a few years back for an Easter card, but I never used it. I fussy cut him to add behind the flower that I had stamped some time ago on some purple patterned paper. Actually I had stamped several flowers, so I fussy cut two and layered them to make one fluffy flower. Purple pearls were added to the center. I used a background that had been stamped with a script background stamp. I made a frilly frame using an old, but a very favorite, Martha Stewart punch. Then I added an old piece of ribbon for a bow, a swirl ( Spellbinders die ) that I had cut out long ago and leaves I found in a package. I am loving looking through all my old things and making something new!

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!

Happy Easter!

Hi Everyone! Happy Easter! I want to show you an Easter card I made using these sweet Love U Bunnies from Just For Fun Stamps. I colored them using Spectrum Noir markers, fussy cut them and pop dotted them to the card. I used the Marianne Rose Basket die and cut from aqua card stock. The eggs were cut using the Filigree Eggs dies by Memory Box. The background is a piece of patterned paper with different fonts that say Spring.

Just For Fun has an Easter/Spring challenge going on for the month of April. We would love to see your card creations. You might even win a gift certificate to the store!

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful and blessed Easter!

Eat Cake

Hi and welcome to my blog. I am forever needing birthday cards so I have made another one using this cute House Mouse stamp! The red border was made by using Martha Stewart punches. The white frame was made by using a Spellbinders Fleur de Lis Square die. I colored the image with Spectrum Noir markers and cut it out using a Spellbinders Small Circle die and matted it on the larger blue circle. I love paper piecing, so I paper pieced the icing on the cake using green patterned paper.

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope your day is wonderful!

Bits and Bobs #7

Hi Everyone! Welcome to my blog. Today I am showing another bits and bobs card. While rummaging through my myriad of stuff, I came across a handful of lovely napkins that I had saved to use some day! LOL! Well, today is the day. These napkins have been in my stash for a very long time! So the background on my card is the napkin that I laid over white card stock that had been sprayed with glue adhesive. I found this butterfly stamped image in my image pile that exactly matched the background! The saying was in a sticker book that I did not remember I had. I added a piece of old lace to the bottom as well as some pearls. I have been using a lot of sequins on my cards lately, so I found these pearls to use instead.

I hope you enjoyed seeing my bits and bobs card today. Maybe it will inspire you to dig through your stash to see what fun things you discover!

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a blessed day!
